The Northcote Road Summer Fête, a community street festival, is set to return this year following a one-year hiatus.
The event, which has been running for 20 years, was cancelled last year due to problems with security and sponsorship. But after a certain amount of crowdfunding, the event is now scheduled for July.
The fête will take place between 11am – 6pm on the same day as the Wimbledon Men's Singles Final on Sunday 15th July 2018 and will operate along the full stretch of the Northcote Road.
Always a popular event for Wandsworth residents, the Northcote Road Summer Fête has typically drawn crowds of over 10,000 visitors each year.
What can you expect? Fairground rides, stalls selling food and drink, pop-up markets, a live stage for music and entertainment, and there will be a big screen showing all the action from the Men's Singles Final. There will be activities for both children and adults to enjoy.
The fête also offers an opportunity to celebrate the contribution made by local businesses to the community.
This is a street festival and traditional summer fête rolled into one, and we recommend you don't miss it. Food, drink, live music, stalls filled with goodies, community cheer, and a big screen should you not want to miss the Men's tennis final. What's not to like?
